NU's Solomon Tabbed CCC Player of the Week
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Northwest University’s Blake Solomon, a 6-2 senior guard from Kent, Wash., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball.
Solomon averaged 26.5 points and made 10 of 21 3-point attempts in leading the Eagles to back-to-back home victories over preseason CCC favorite College of Idaho and No. 23 Eastern Oregon.
In an 85-84 overtime win over the Mountaineers on Saturday, Solomon exploded for 23 second-half points to key NU’s comeback victory. On Friday, in the win over the Yotes, Solomon had 14 of his 26 points in the second half.
