Clauson Honored as CCC Player of the Week
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Concordia University’s Danielle Clauson, a 5-10 junior forward from Edmonds, Wash., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball.
Clauson averaged 23 points, eight rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals as the 19th-ranked Cavaliers split their opening CCC series.
Clauson had 18 points and six rebounds in a 66-62 loss to 12th-ranked Southern Oregon, and followed with 28 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-62 win at Oregon Tech. Her 28 points were one shy of her career high. Clauson shot 53 percent (19 of 36) from the field in the two games.
