Owl Softball Signs Skyview High Infielder
Klamath Falls, Ore. – Head Oregon Tech softball coach, Greg Stewart, announced today that Kaila Johnson of Vancouver, WA has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Owls next season.
Johnson, a junior second baseman at Skyview High School, hit .298 with seven doubles and had just one fielding error in 88 attempts (.989 fielding percentage).
Last summer, playing for the Washington Bulldogs Gold - Grogan, Johnson posted a .319 average, including 11 doubles and one homerun.
“Kaila is an outstanding second baseman, but also has the ability to also play in the outfield if needed” said head coach Greg Stewart. “She will be a great addition to our program both offensively and defensively in 2010.”
Kaila Johnson is the daughter of Mitch and Dana Johnson and will major in Dental Hygiene at Oregon Tech next year.
