CALDWELL, Idaho - Nicole Gall led for College of Idaho players in double figures with 23 points, as the Lady Yotes defeated Evergreen, 82-65, tonight in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

With the win, the No. 12 ranked Coyotes (24-3, 15-2 CCC) remain one-game back of first-place Concordia with three games remaining in the regular-season.

After the visiting Geoducks (10-14, 5-12) took an early 11-4 lead on a Keisha McDonald lay-up, the hosts would battle back, with a Gall trey in the corner capping a 9-0 run to give The C of I their first lead at 16-13, while her three and two made free throws late in the period pushed the margin to 43-31.

Evergreen would close within 50-42 in the second half on a Kristi Auckland lay-up, but the Yotes would not falter, as Meghan Hughes and Whitney Owen came off the bench to combined for 23 second half points in the win.

Owen had 17 points and seven boards, with Hughes adding 15 on the night.  Christon Vander Esch had 14 points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots - leaving her eight points shy of the 1,000 mark for her career.

Auckland led all Geoduck scorers with 15 points and ten boards, with Gooding native Katie Garcin recording a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

The Lady Yotes will honor four seniors tomorrow night as part of their first regular-season home game - Vander Esch, ShaNae Horner, Ashley Wolfe, and Josie Pugsley.  Tip-off vs. Northwest University is set for 5:30 p.m.
