BOX SCORE

PORTLAND, Ore. - Concordia outscored the T-Birds 26-10 during the final nine minutes of the first half to push the Cavaliers past Cascade to a 78-58 win at the Thunderdome tonight on "PinkZone" night. In conjunction with the WBCA, the T-Bird women wore pink shoelaces and sweatbands to raise awareness for breast cancer research.

Trailing just 19-15 at the 9:34 mark of the first half, Cascade saw the visiting Cavs make all seven of their shots and 10 of 11 freethrows the rest of the period to forge an insurmountable lead.

"We hung with them for 30 of the 40 minutes, but we had no answers for the latter part of the first half," said coach matt Murphy. "Coach (Aaron) Christian has put together a tough team to beat (at CU)."

Amy Russell led Cascade (10-14, 3-14 CCC) with 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Robin Swain added 11 points.

Rebecca Gimeno dropped in 21 points to lead Concordia (23-2, 16-1 CCC), and Ann Snodderly scored 14 and had 4 blocks.
