Portland, Ore.–Concordia held Warner Pacific without a field goal for the initial 10 minutes of play to open up more than a 20-point lead in the first period before routing the Knights 87-46 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action on Saturday night.

With the win, Concordia improved to 24-2 on the year and 17-1 in the CCC. The Cavaliers will enter the final weekend of regular season competition with a one-game lead over The College of Idaho (25-3, 16-2 CCC) in the CCC standings. Warner Pacific dropped to 12-15 overall and 8-10 in league action.

Concordia, ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Division II poll, will wrap-up its regular-season slate by hosting Oregon Tech (14-13, 7-11 CCC) on Feb. 20 and No. 21Southern Oregon (23-4, 15-3 CCC) on Feb. 21.

Concordia shot just 39.3 percent from the floor in the first half, but connected on 14-of-17 (82.4 percent) from the free throw line and held the Knights to a 29.2 field goal percentage to enter the half with a 39-20 lead.

Shooting 62.5 percent I the second, the Cavs would continue to extend its lead, eventually ended with a 41-point margin on the Knight’s home court.

With 22 points, Rebecca Gimeno paced the Cavs for the second straight night. Ann Snodderly added 16 while Angela Gimeno posted an even dozen points and Danielle Clauson finished with 10 to give four Cavaliers a double-digit tally.

With 14 points each, Kelsey Mattsen and Bethany Baumann shared the game-high for Warner Pacific.

The Knights edged the Cavs 35-33 in rebounding but turned the ball over 23 times compared to just 11 for the visiting team. Concordia shot 50 percent from the field (26-of-52) and from three-point territory (5-of-10) in the game. Warner Pacific was held to converting 31.5 percent of its field goal attempts.
