Rebecca Gimeno of Concordia has been named CCC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Concordia’s Rebecca Gimeno, a 5-4 senior guard from Spokane, Wash., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball. It is the second consecutive week in which she has been recognized by the CCC.
Gimeno posted back-to-back 20-point performances to help CU extend its winning streak to nine games. Gimeno had 21 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in a 78-58 win over Cascade College, and she followed with 22 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals in an 87-46 victory over Warner Pacific.
Gimeno shot a blistering 74 percent (14 of 19) from the field, including 4 of 6 from 3-point range. She was 11 of 12 from the free throw line.
Concordia improved its overall record to 24-2 and its league-leading mark to 17-1.
