PORTLAND, Ore. -- Junior Erik Quick-Warner drove the lane for a game-winning layup with four seconds remaining, giving Northwest Christian University their first ever CCC post-season victory with a 64-62 quarterfinal victory over No. 14 Warner Pacific University. It was the Beacons' third win over a top-25 team in their last six games.

With the win, sixth-seeded Northwest Christian will travel to Klamath Falls on Saturday to take on the #1 seed Oregon Institute of Technology. OIT is currently ranked #8 in the nation.

Andrew Miller led the way for NCU with a game-high 18 points. Dylan Perry and Jordan Whittenburg had ten apiece and Quick-Warner finished with nine, including the game-winner and five assists. Garrett Crinklaw added 9 points, all in the first half as the Beacons went on a 13-1 run to take a seven-point lead.

Warner Pacific (21-8) was led by Adam Moore with 17 points. Aukai Wong scored eleven and Kaylone Riley scored ten points and had six blocked shots. As the current #13 ranked team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Knights should remain in contention for an at-large bid to the NAIA championship tournament.

Northwest Christian improves to 18-12 with the victory.
