Klamath Falls, Ore. – Led by 25 points from Lisa Busch and 23 points from Amanda Johnston, the Oregon Tech Lady Owls picked up a much needed 75-58 win over Cascade College in conference play at Danny Miles Court.

Oregon Tech improves to 13-12 overall and 6-10 in the CCC standings with the win. Cascade fell to 10-13 on the season and 3-13 in conference play.

Lisa Busch grabbed five rebounds and handed out four assists to go with her team-high 25 points, while Johnston grabbed eight boards along with her 23 points. Kellie Morey finished with nine points and nine rebounds in the winning effort.

Robin Swain hit for a game-high 28 points, four rebounds and two assists in the loss for the Thunderbirds. Kristina Schumacker netted 18 points, followed by Amy Russell with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Tech gained their first 10 point advantage on a Lisa Busch 3-pointer, making it 29-19 Owls, with 6:19 remaining in the first half.

Kristina Schumacker cut the Thunderbird deficit to 31-25, but back-to-back free throws for the Owls closed out the first half scoring, giving OIT the 33-25 lead at intermission.

It was all Owls in the second stanza, stretching the halftime lead to 50-32 with 13:45 to play, and would increase their advantage to 21 points, 51-36, with 9:07 on the clock. Tech then withstood any Cascade comeback effort to win by the final 17 point margin, 75-58.

The Owls will host Northwest Christian University on Saturday, February 14th. It will be the final regular season home game of the season, as Tech will honor seniors Amanda Johnston, Jaclyn Unruh and Meagan Miyasaka that evening.
