OIT's Jguwon Hogges Tabbed CCC Men's Hoop Player of the Week
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Oregon Tech’s Jguwon Hogges, a 5-8 senior guard from Atwater, Calif., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball.
Hogges averaged 23 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.5 steals in helping lift the Hustlin’ Owls to a 72-56 victory over then-No. 14 Warner Pacific and an 84-66 win over Cascade College. The victories enabled OIT to maintain a share of first place in the CCC standings. OIT is 12-4 in league play and 22-4 overall.
In the win over Warner Pacific, Hogges had 20 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. One night later, he had 26 points, five rebounds, six assists and six steals in the victory over Cascade. He also drew two defensive charges on the week, bringing his season total to 34.
