NAIA Top 25 Update: Concordia Women 9th, OIT Men 2nd; 4 Other CCC Teams Listed
KANSAS CITY – Concordia University, winner of seven straight and 22 of its last 23, has earned its highest-ever ranking in the NAIA Division II Top 25 women’s basketball poll, the national office announced Monday.
The Cavaliers, 22-2 overall and atop the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings with a 15-1 mark, jumped four spots to tie for the No. 9 position in this week’s listing. CU is one of three CCC teams in the Top 25; College of Idaho (23-3, 14-2) is ranked 13th, and Southern Oregon (21-4, 13-3) climbed two spots to the No. 21 position.
Morningside (Iowa), which received all 15 first-place votes, remained in the No. 1 spot for the eighth consecutive poll.

NAIA Men’s Top 25: OIT Up to No. 2; Eastern Oregon 11th, Warner Pacific 16th
KANSAS CITY – Oregon Tech leads a contingent of three Cascade Collegiate Conference teams in the latest NAIA Division II men’s basketball poll, the NAIA office announced Monday.
The Hustlin’ Owls, who share the CCC lead with a 12-4 mark, climbed one spot to the No. 2 position after posting an impressive home win over then-No. 14 Warner Pacific and defeating Cascade College. OIT, which has been ranked in the top 10 all season (including five polls in the top spot), extended its string of consecutive Top 25 appearances to 48 straight and its streak of consecutive Top 10 appearances to 13 in a row.
Other CCC members in this week’s Top 25 include red-hot Eastern Oregon, which has won 10 straight and climbed to the No. 11 position, and Warner Pacific, which dropped from 14th to 16th.
Oklahoma Wesleyan University received 13 of 16 first-place votes to become the fourth team to hold the No. 1 ranking this season.
