Churchill High Standout Signs With Oregon Tech
Klamath Falls, Ore. – Head Oregon Tech softball coach, Greg Stewart, announced today that Jess Plummer of Eugene, Ore. has signed a letter-of-intent to play for the Owls next season.
Plummer, beginning her senior season at Churchill High School, batted .469 last year, including eight doubles, two homeruns and 21 RBI to go with a .952 fielding percentage at the shortstop position.
For her efforts, Plummer was named to the Midwestern League 1st team and was a 2nd team all-state selection for the Lancers last season.
“Jess is going to be a great addition to our program. She is a very talented shortstop who will make great plays defensively with her arm and range.” Said head coach Greg Stewart. ”Jess is also a proven hitter and will be an immediate impact in our line-up in 2010.”
Jess is the daughter of Richard and Kathy Plummer and will major in Psychology at Oregon Tech this fall.
