Concordia Rated No. 15 in First Regular Season Softball Top 25 Poll

NAIA Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Concordia University, which is off to an 11-1 start this season, jumped to the No. 15 position in the first regular season NAIA Top 25 softball poll, released Tuesday by the national office. The Cavs received votes in the preseason poll released last month.

CCC members Oregon Tech and College of Idaho received votes.

Lubbock Christian (Tenn.) is rated No. 1; the Lady Chaparrals earned all 21 possible first place votes and 591 points.

California Baptist moved up a spot from the preseason poll to No. 2 with 572 points while Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) dropped to No. 3 with 546 points. Oklahoma City climbed to No. 4 from No. 7 with 540 points and Dickinson State (N.D.) remained at No. 5 with 501 points.

William Carey (Miss.) (497 points) moved up seven spots to No. 6 while Simon Fraser (B.C.) (452 points) climbed one spot to No. 7. Saint Gregory’s (Okla.) received 444 points at No. 8 and dropped four spots from the preseason poll. No. 9 Bethel (Ind.) also moved up from No. 12 with 420 points and No. 10 Mobile (Ala.) rounded out the top-10 with 419 points.

The second regular season poll will be released on Tuesday, March 24.
