Northwest U. Inks Prepster for '09-'10 Season
KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University head basketball coach Lori Napier announced the signing of Emily Drivstuen of Monroe, Washington and Monroe High School to a letter of intent to play for the Eagles in the 2009-10 season.
Drivstuen is a 5-10 guard and played for the Bearcats this past season averaging 12 points per game and also played for the "Way to Win" AAU-select team.
"Emily has so many great qualities as a player it's hard to name them all," commented coach Napier. "She is a tough defender who can guard any position. Offensively Emily can score from anywhere in the half court and is very fundamentally sound," Napier continued. "She has great one-on-one moves but also gets her teammates involved. Emily brings a lot of toughness to the game and definitely has her best basketball in front of her. She will come into Northwest and be able to immediately contribute to the team," coach Napier concluded.
Emily is the cousin of Dani Drivstuen (Monroe, Wash.), starting senior guard from this season's Eagle basketball team.
