CCC's Hogges, Menefee Tabbed First Team NAIA All-Americans
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released its 2008-09 Division II Men's Basketball All-America Teams and a pair of Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes -- Evergreen's Nate Menefee and OIT's Jguwon Hogges -- earned inclusion on the first team.
William Walker (Bethel, Ind.), a 6-6 senior from Michigan City, Mich. earned Player-of-the-Year honors. Walker averaged 20 points and 8.8 rebounds per game for the Pilots and led them to a 33-4 record and a trip to the Final Four. He also was named the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) player-of-the-year back on Sunday evening (March 16).
Warner Pacific's Adam Moore was a second-team selection, and Craig McGee (College of Idaho), Kris Groce (Eastern Oregon) and Justin Parnell (OIT) were honorable mention choices.
