WILDER, Idaho - Ben Coate drained a 35-foot putt on the 18th hole, lifting The College of Idaho men's golf team to a 6-4 victory over Northwest Nazarene in a match-play dual at River Bend Golf Course.

As the last group on the course, Coate had his match against the Crusaders Aaron VanDeHey all square after 17 holes - converting the long putt to give the Yotes the season victory over NNU.  The Yotes defeated the Crusaders during the fall season, with NNU returning the favor last week in Nampa.

Also winning for the Yotes was Cris Tietsort (2 and 1 over Jeff McDonald) and Jordan Taylor (3 and 1 over Leon Vasquez).  NNU won a pair of matches - Zach Grunig over Tyler Thurston (1-up) and Rowdy Hope over Jacob Reyes (4 and 3).

Both teams will be in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Concordia Invitational at Tri-Mountain Golf Club in Ridgefield, Wash.
