RIDGEFIELD, Wash.—With the three lowest rounds of the day, the Concordia women’s golf team took a 15-stroke lead over Victoria at the Cavalier Spring Classic held at the Tri-Mountain Golf Course on Monday.

The second round scheduled for Monday afternoon was cancelled due to severe weather in the area. The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with one final round of 18 holes.

The 14th-ranked Cavaliers scored a 29-over 317 to take a double-digit stroke lead over 13th-ranked Victoria (342). Seattle finished in third with a 352. Cascade Collegiate Conference schools finished in fourth, fifth and sixth with The College of Idaho scoring a 365, Warner Pacific a 458 and Corban a 516.

CU’s Lindsay Aho and Kim Tilton shared the individual lead after both golfers posted 6-over 78s on a cold, wet and windy day on the links. Teammate Sara Taylor finished the round one stroke back with a 7-over 79 to take sole possession of third place while Victoria’s Anne Balser broke up the Concordia string with an 81 for fourth place.

Northwest Christian’s Ashley King led the Beacons with a 10-over 82 to tie for the fifth position with CU’s Kim Lindow. Cecilia Garcia, competing for C of I, concluded the round in 10th with an 85 while Warner Pacific was led by Rachel Murphy, who carded a 93 for 17th place.
