CALDWELL, Idaho - Heather Dixon and Jody Zillner each hit home runs in the opener, while Kristen Haugen plated both runs in the late game, as The College of Idaho softball team moved five-games above the .500 mark for the first time this year with 10-1 and 2-0 wins over the University of Great Falls at Symms Field.

In Game 1, the Lady Argos (5-11) took an early 1-0 lead in the second on a Samantha Stevens RBI single, but the Yotes would battle back.  In the third, the hosts loaded the bases on a pair of hits and an error, then tied the score on an Amy Rhoades ground out.  Dixon would follow with a long home run to left, her school-record tying 11th dinger, pushing the lead to 4-1.

An inning later, the Coyotes (19-14) would add six more, getting an RBI single from Haugen and an RBI double from Rhoades.  After an intentional walk to Dixon, Zillner followed with her second grand slam in as many games, pushing the lead to 10-1.

Zillner notched her 11th win in the circle, limiting UGF to just four hits, fanning nine.  Brittany Wenzel was the lone Coyote with two hits, while Sarah DeVore went 2-for-2 for the Argos.

Game 2 saw Brooke Judy toss her first shutout of the 2009 season, limiting the visitors to just four singles and striking out nine.

Haugen got the Yotes on the board in the first, hitting a dribbler in front of the plate - beating it out for an infield single, plating Donnae Carrell from third.  She'd strike again in the third, blooping a two-out base hit into right, scoring Dixon from third.

The Lady Yotes will be in action again tomorrow evening, hosting Boise State in a doubleheader at 5 p.m.
