Owl Softball Adds Transfer Pitcher

Klamath Falls, Ore. - Oregon Tech head softball coach Greg Stewart announced today that Michael Eustance of Missoula, Montana has signed a letter of intent and will join the Owl softball team for the 2010 season.

Eustance, a transfer from Shasta Junior College in Redding, CA finished her sophomore season with a 25-8 overall pitching mark, including a team-low 1.29 ERA. Eustance recorded 159 strikeouts in 205 innings, in helping guide her Knight Softball team to an overall team-record of 41-16 and a spot in the Elite 8 of the California Junior College State Tournament in 2008. Eustance was a 1st Team All-Golden Valley Conference selection, where she also batted .358, including a homerun and nine RBI.

"Mikey is a top notch pitcher and is going to be a great addition for us in the circle next year." said Coach Stewart "She has a lot of pitching experience and all the tools to be an outstanding player in our softball program and in the Cascade Conference the next two seasons."

Michael is the daughter of Bob and Lynne Eustance and will major in Health Sciences at Oregon Tech in the fall.
