For the second straight year, Concordia captured the CCC Championship title and will await to see if it receives an at-large berth to the upcoming NAIA Championships next month.

FINAL RESULTS
MONROE, Ore. – Concordia University used a final round 24-over 312 to break a tie atop the leader board after two rounds with Corban College Tuesday to win the 2009 Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship presented by Diamond Woods Golf Course by eight strokes.
Individually, Concordia's Will Snow broke a three-way tie for the clubhouse lead after Round #2 with a final round score of 3-over 75 to bring home medalist honors with a combined 10-over 226.
For the second straight year, Concordia brought home the conference team title with a three-round combined score of 58-over 922 (308-302-312) versus Corban's 66-over 930 (306-304-320). Northwest Christian (316-319-322=957) finished third ahead of The College of Idaho (331-338-334=1,003) and Warner Pacific (352-331-327=1,010).
Snow took home the individual title by a mere stroke over Corban's Joey Duwe (78-73-76=227), while Northwest Christian's Justin Ahrens (73-80-79=232), Concordia's Marc Arima (77-74-81=232), and Corban's Steve Landis (74-80-78=232) tied for third.
Included in this year's CCC Championship was the first-ever GSAC/CCC National Qualifying Tournament that had an automatic berth to the upcoming NAIA Championships in mid-May on the line.
GSAC member Point Loma Nazarene won the overall team title and captured the automatic berth after shooting a combined three-round total of 26-over 890 (306-289-295), which was 16 strokes ahead of California Baptist (303-302-301=906). Rounding out the Top 5 were Concordia (308-302-312=922), Corban (306-304-320=930), and The Master's College (304-311-318=933).
Individually, Point Loma Nazarene's Sam Cyr was the only person in the 47-player field to shoot below par thanks to a even-par 216 (75-68-73) over the three round that included a tournament-low 4-under 68 in Round #2. Cyr, who is the defending NAIA individual champion, outlasted fellow PLNU teammate Marc Machado (74-75-72=221) and California Baptist's Marcelo Souza (70-75-76=221) by five strokes.
In a post-tournament ceremony, Arima was named conference Player of the Year after averaging 72.50 strokes per round in CCC play. Meanwhile, Jonny Miller, A.J. Lightheart, and Jared Moe joined their fellow Cavalier teammate on the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference team that included Northwest Christian's Justin Ahrens, Corban's Joey Duwe, Northwest Christian's Brent McKee, and Warner Pacific's Jon Gaffney.
The College of Idaho's Garry Matlock and Concordia's Ronn Grove were named conference co-Coach of the Year, while C of I was voted as Team Champions of Character.
Concordia will have to wait and see if it receives an at-large berth into the 58th annual NAIA Championship, as the Cavaliers are currently ranked 32nd in the nation according to the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll that was released on April 10th.
