Concordia will represent the Cascade Collegiate Conference for the second straight season at the NAIA Championships next month after winning this year's conference championship tournament.

FINAL RESULTS

MONROE, Ore. – Concordia University went wire-to-wire to win the 2009 Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship presented by Diamond Woods Golf Course, as the Cavaliers increased their final margin of victory to 76 strokes over The College of Idaho.

With an automatic berth to the upcoming NAIA Championships in mid-May, Concordia shot a combined team total of 98-over 962 (321-322-319) to outlast The College of Idaho (341-349-348=1,038). Warner Pacific (433-432-424=1,289) and Corban (486-508-477=1,471) rounded out the team scores, while Northwest Christian did not complete a team score over the final two rounds.

Individually, Concordia's Lindsay Aho led by three strokes after Round #1 and finished with an impressive 14-stroke victory over fellow Cavalier teammate Kim Lindow (79-81-79=239). Aho's three-round total of 9-over 225 (76-73-76) included a tournament-low 1-over 73 in the second round.

Rounding out the Top 5 individually were Concordia's Kim Tilton (81-86-82=249), Concordia's Holly Speer (85-82-83=250), and The College of Idaho's Cecilia Garcia (84-84-83=251).

Warner Pacific was led by Bailey Lyons (94-92-89=275), while Corban's Morgan McComish (101-100-97=298) led the Warriors.

In a post-tournament ceremony, Aho was named CCC Player of the Year to go along with three other Cavaliers – Tilton, Speer, and Sara Taylor – on the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference Team. Also included on the '09 All-CCC Team were Northwest Christian's Ashley King, as well as a trio of players from The College of Idaho that included Cecilia Garcia, Heidi Murphy, and Breanna Pace.

The College of Idaho's Garry Matlock was named Coach of the Year, while the Coyotes were voted as Team Champions of Character.
