Hogges, Menefee Named to State Farm All-America Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jguwon Hogges of Oregon Tech and Nate Menefee of Evergreen have been named to the NAIA Division II State Farm Coaches All-American team in men’s basketball, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced.
Hogges, a senior from Atwater, Calif., helped the Hustlin’ Owls to a share of the regular season Cascade Collegiate Conference title and the CCC’s postseason tournament title. The 5-8 Hogges averaged 18.9 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game, as OIT reached the second round of the NAIA Division II men’s basketball championships.
Menefee, a 5-11 junior from Tacoma, Wash., was the 2008-09 CCC Player of the Year. He finished second in the nation in scoring (24.3) while leading the Geoducks to the second round of the national tournament.
