CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho ended a five-game losing streak with a bevy of two-out hits, sweeping a doubleheader from Corban College, 7-3 and 6-3, at Wolfe Field.

The opener saw the visiting Warriors (10-34, 8-22 NAIA West) take an early 1-0 lead on a two-out Josh Warner RBI single in the third, but the Yotes came right back, as Bryan Champ laced an RBI single down the right-field line in the bottom of the frame to tie the score.

Brad Carlsen broke the tie in the sixth, hitting the first pitch he saw deep over the right field wall to put the Coyotes (27-17, 22-7) up 2-1, but the visitors tied the score on a suicide squeeze bunt from Trevor Winsor in the seventh.

The Yotes would bust the game open in the late innings, getting a two-out RBI double from Jake Miller, followed by a Carlsen double to make it 4-2.  Diego Robles ended the seventh inning spurt with an RBI single, while the Yotes added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth.

It was enough for starter Andrew Brock, who went the distance, allowing eight hits, no walks, and six strikeouts - moving his record against the Warriors to 5-0 in his career.  Miller, Carlsen, Robles, and Luke Howarth each had two hits for the Yotes, while Russ Johnston went 2-for-4, including his seventh home run of the season in the ninth inning for the Warriors.

Game 2 was a see-saw affair, as Corban took advantage of a pair of C of I errors in the second - with Mitch Riddle's RBI single giving the visitors a 1-0 lead.  Matt Mejia would tie the score in the bottom of the inning with a two-out RBI single.  The Yotes would take the lead in the fifth, as Champ hit a high-chopper to second, but Nate Hiebert could not keep the infield single in front of him - allow Carlsen to score from second to make it 2-1.

Corban would manufacture a pair of runs in the sixth - both on squeeze bunts, to take a 3-2 lead.  However, it was short-lived, as the Coyotes tied the score on a weird play - as Cody Brubaker doubled off the glove of Warner, but courtsey runner Devin Weaver got a late jump from second, with the throw in from the outfield beating him home by 20-feet.  However, Riddle dropped the ball, allowing the tying run to score.  Miller would follow with a two-run triple to right-center to make it 5-3, with a Carlsen sacrifice fly capping the four-run frame.

Jared Arehart got the win, going six innings, allowing seven hits and four strikeouts, while Chad Yeggy got the final three outs to pick up his fourth save of the season.  Miller went 3-for-4, while Robles and Champ each had two hits for the Yotes, while Craig Spicer had a pair of hits for Corban.

The two team will conclude the regular-season tomorrow with a doubleheader set for 11 a.m.  Prior to the game, the Yotes will honor 15 senior student-athletes playing their final home game.
