EOU's Marcella Bosch finishes 5th at University of Oregon.
EUGENE, Ore. - Eastern Oregon's Marcella Bosch was the only Mountaineer athlete that competed at the University of Oregon History Hayward Field track meet. She was running against Division I athletes. Bosch competed in the 5K event. Bosch finished with not only a personal record, but the fastest 5K times in the Cascade Conference history.
Marcella Bosch finished in 5th place out of 25 competitors with a time of 16:46. Head Coach Ben Welch expressed many great things about Bosch's performance this weekend. Welch also stated, "She [Bosch] got in a rhythm and stayed calm to do the right things."
Next up the Mountaineers will travel to Boise, Idaho as they compete in the Boise State Bronco Twilight on Friday, May 1st. This will be their last meet to gear up before the Cascade Conference Championships in Gresham, Oregon on May 7-9th.
