KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech head women’s soccer coach Bryan Mueller announced today that both Katie Orr and Mikaela Inman of Central Point, Ore. have signed letters of intent to join the Oregon Tech women’s soccer program this fall.

Inman spent four years on the varsity soccer squad for Crater High school, helping the Comets to four-straight appearances in the state playoffs.

“Mikaela is a tough defender who will win all the balls on her side, left or right. She has an excellent work ethic and reads the game well.” said coach Mueller “She will strengthen our defense, give us options and is a good decision maker. She will be competing for time immediately and we know she is a good one for the future as well.”

Mikaela is the daughter of Mark and Susan Inman and will major in Medical Imaging Technology at Oregon Tech.

Katie Orr was a three-time all conference selection at Crater High School, including 1st team All-Southern Sky Conference Goalie of the Year honors in both 2007and 2008. Orr, a four-year varsity soccer player for the Comets, played for the Table Rock Lightning SC and was also a Southern Sky champion in the javelin.

“Katie is the best Keeper in the south end of the state and is technically very good.” said Mueller “She is a great 1-on-1 shot stopper and is commanding on crosses. Katie will be challenging for a starting spot immediately.” Mueller continues” She is a great goalie acquisition for us and we are very pleased she chose OIT to continue her playing career.”

Katie is the daughter of Lee and Sandy Orr, and will major in Biology at Oregon Tech beginning this fall.
