KLAMATH FALLS, Ore - Head Oregon Tech men’s soccer coach Bryan Mueller announced today the addition of both Karol Kluczynski (Wallington, NJ) and Sam Holcomb (Elko, NV) to the 2009 men’s soccer roster this fall.

Kluczynski, a transfer from Bergen Community College in New Jersey, began his soccer career in Poland before beginning his prep career at Paramus Catholic High School in New Jersey. Kluczynski also competed at the club level for the World Class F.C. and Colamerica team.

“Karol is solid player, who plays as a defensive midfielder or defender. He has excellent technique and is a very good at linking the defense to the offense with spot on passes.” mentioned Coach Mueller. “Karol will be another great addition to our program and will give some us good options. He is a great competitor and will make a positive impact to our team.“

Karol is the son of Wieslaw Kluczynski from Wallington, NJ, and Eva Krisulevicz, of Wayne NJ and will major in Renewable Energy Resources at Oregon Tech in the fall.

Holcomb competed at Elko High School in Nevada where he scored 17 goals and tallied 54 assists in his three-year career at EHS. The 2008 Team Captain was a 1st team all-conference selection in 2008, while receiving 2nd team honors in 2007. Sam played on the international AYSO Team Intensity, competing at sites across the nation.

“Sam is very talented and composed player who can set up goals and score them as well.” said Coach Mueller. “He has great field awareness, timing, ball skill and makes the correct runs. Sam will be a key impact player to add for the 2009 season, as he will raise our level of play.”

Sam is the son of Tom and Sandi Holcomb of Elko, NV and will major in Civil Engineering at OIT this fall.
