Looney Named Seattle Pacific Hoop Coach
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Ryan Looney, who led Eastern Oregon University to at least a share of back-to-back regular season Cascade Collegiate Conference men's basketball titles the past two seasons, has been named the new head coach at Seattle Pacific University.
Looney, 33, was 95-55 in five seasons at EOU, where he led the Mountaineers to consecutive NAIA Division II national tournament appearances, including a spot in the quarterfinals this past season. Looney replaces Jeff Hironaka, who recently was named an assistant coach at Washington State.
