KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Sophomore Clackamas Community College midfielder Patti Degerness signed a letter of intent to join the Oregon Tech women’s soccer team in 2009, announced today by head women’s soccer coach Bryan Mueller.

Degerness spent four years at Benjamin Franklin High School in Portland, earning first team all-conference honors in 2005 and 2006. At Clackamas Community College, Degerness was named to the NWAACC all-region team in 2007. In her two seasons with the Cougars, Degerness totaled 17 goals and 11 assists, while also helping lead the Clackamas team to a NWAACC championship in 2007.

“We are very excited Patti has chosen Oregon Tech to continue her athletic career” stated coach Mueller “Patti is a center midfielder who will dominate her position. I like her aggressiveness, passing ability and is always attack minded.” Mueller continued “Patti is a very experienced and accomplished player and one of the top players to come out of the community college ranks in 2008.”

Patti is the daughter of Tom and Monique Degerness and will major in Medical Imaging Technology at Oregon Tech in the fall.
