Fryer will follow in the footsteps of former Mountie Mark Carollo as he takes his game to the next level in Costa Rica.
EOU's Fryer Signs Pro Contract

LA GRANDE, Ore. - Fresh off an appearance in the school's first Elite 8 appearance ever and being named a Cascade Collegiate Conference first team performer, senior Neil Fryer is now the second Mountaineer in as many years to sign a professional contract to play basketball.
Fryer will take his high wire act on the road, as the Bremerton, Wash. native will look to continue his basketball career in Costa Rica. After averaging 14.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game for the back-to-back CCC Champion Mountaineers, Fryer will now take his game to the next level and hope to continue his success in a new country.
In his final two seasons as a Mountaineer Fryer amassed a record of 51-14 as a full-time starter, including two appearances in the NAIA National Tournament. Known as one of the more athletic players in the conference, Fryer will look elevate his game even more in Central America. This season he shot an impressive 53.6% from the field and 42.1% from beyond the three-point line.
Fryer has been an important player at Eastern and will also graduate in four years with a degree in Business. During his tenure at EOU, the men's basketball team has been well above .500 all four years and have won twenty or more games in his final three campaigns.
Neil Fryer is the second Mountaineer, along with sharpshooter and EOU all-time leading scorer Mark Carollo, to ink a professional contract.
