Oregon Tech Soccer Signs Portland Standout
Klamath Falls, OR – Oregon Tech head men’s soccer coach Bryan Mueller announced today the signing of Dustin Hirata. Dustin played varsity soccer three years at power house Grant High School in Portland OR. Dustin honors include , 2008 OSAA 6A State Champion, 2008 6A all league honorable mention, 2008 Coach Award co-MVP foe tournament series , 2009 Premiere League Champions with Eastside United F.C., 2009 State Cup semi-finalist, 2007 ^A men’s soccer semi- finalist,2006 varsity 6A Quarter finalist,2005 Olympic Development Program ’91 Team Member, Manchester United Soccer Participant, 2006,2007,2008, Academic Excellence Honors.
“Dustin is a very experienced player that really has played at the top levels at Grant and the Eastside United Club of Oregon.” Said coach Mueller. “He has been privileged to have had the top coaching available in the Portland Metro Area. He is a very skillful player who is excellent on the ball and controls the center of the midfield. Dustin will play a major role right away at Oregon Tech. I really think Dustin is one of our best signings in our short program history. I can’t express how fortunate I feel that a player of his level has chosen Oregon Tech. We really can build our program around him and will look to him for leadership in the center of the pitch.”
Parents are Marisa and Kento Hirata of Portland, Oregon. Dustin plans to Major in Computer Engineering Technology, and Software Engineering Technology at Oregon Tech.
