Arima Named Concordia's 1st A-A Male Golfer

KANSAS CITY, Mo.–Concordia senior Marc Arima (Meridian, Idaho) was named as a Second-Team All-American recently by the NAIA, the first such honor awarded by a Concordia men’s golfer.
In five Cascade Collegiate Conference tournaments, Arima fashioned a scoring average of 72.50, more than two strokes better than the nearest competitor, en route to being named the CCC Player of the Year. Arima tied for third at the CCC Championships presented by Diamond Woods Golf Course in helping the Cavaliers to the team crown for the second straight season.
His overall scoring average of 72.4 during the 2008-09 season established a new school record while his career scoring average of 74.66 rests second all time on the CU charts.
Concordia is led by second-year head coach Ronn Grove. Lindsay Aho, a junior from Brush Prairie, was named a First-Team Women’s Golf All-American in late May to become the first CU golfer to earn All-America status.
