EOU's Watson Signs 8 in Women's Soccer

EOU soccer would like to introduce its 2009 incoming student athletes.

LA GRANDE, Ore. -- Head EOU soccer coach Jessy Watson is adding eight outstanding athletes to the Mountaineer lineup for next season. The EOU soccer team finished the 2008 season 3-7 in the Cascade Conference and 5-12 overall. The Mounties will be returning a strong bunch of student athletes from last year and look to build with a strong incoming class. The Mountaineers will return 12 players from last years season, as well as adding three transfers and five incoming freshman.

Joining the Mountaineers for next years seasons is Kaitlin Estabrook, a midfielder from Roseburg OR and is a transfer from UNLV. Also joining the Mounties is goal keeper Allison Seymour, a transfer from Spokane CC and Dustie Chester, a defensive transfer from TVCC.

The Mountaineers will also be adding five freshman to the line-up for next years season. Freshman Colby Smits, a goal keeper from Spokane, WA; Bailey Richardson, a midfielder from Blaine WA; Kristina Roome, a midfielder from Sunnyvale CA; Krysta Theisen, a forward from Palmer AK; Kelsey Irish, a defender from Sherwood OR; and Brenna Fischer, a defender from New Mexico. EOU soccer looks to compete in the Cascade Conference next year with the majority of the team returning and adding key new comers to the line-up for the 2009 season.
