Oregon Tech recruit and Southern Sky Player of the Year Jordan Rose will play in the 5A All-Star Game on Friday and Saturday
EUGENE, Ore. – A total of nine players who have signed letters of intent with Cascade Collegiate Conference schools are set to play at Northwest Christian University on Friday as part of the OACA All-Star Series, which concludes with a second set of games on Saturday at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City.
The Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA)/Gatorade All-Star Summer Basketball Series is put on every year, and features games starting with the 2A All-Stars at 1:30 pm each day and conclude with the 6A contest at 8:30 p.m. each night.
The 6A game will feature Nick Kunis (Franklin HS), a Concordia University recruit. Another Concordia prospect is Ryan Miller (Portland Christian), who will play for the 2A South team. Miller will face off against Corban signee Geoffrey Martin, who will be on the 2A North team coming out of Western Mennonite HS.
Northwest Christian University will be represented in the 3A game by Darrell Risen (Regis HS). Another Beacon recruit to play will be Jordan Myers (Churchill HS) in the 5A game.
Joining Myers on the 5A South team is Jordan Rose (Mazama HS), who will be playing at Oregon Tech next season. Also playing at Oregon Tech next year will be a trio of players from Brookings Harbor HS, all of whom will all be featured on the 4A South team. Fred Corpening, Kenton Bansemer, and Chase Bansemer are all set to play for Danny Miles in 2009-2010.
The doors will open for this event at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $5 for general admission, $3 for children.
