Corban's Colachico Named SID of Year; SOU's Mason Athletic Trainer of Year
PORTLAND, Ore. – Corban’s Mark Colachico has been voted the 2008-09 Cascade Collegiate Conference Mike Booth SID of the Year and Southern Oregon’s Kelly Mason has been voted the CCC’s Athletic Trainer of the Year, the conference office announced today.
Both honorees were recognized by a vote of their league peers for outstanding contributions to their respective programs and the 11-member CCC during the past academic year.
Colachico, a 2002 graduate of Azusa Pacific University, has been Corban’s sports information director since 2005. The annual CCC award is named for the late Mike Booth, a former long-time CCC sports information director.
Mason just completed her seventh year on SOU’s athletic training staff and fourth year as head athletic trainer. Mason, who earned degrees in athletic training, health promotion and fitness management from SOU, is also an instructor in the university’s health and physical education department and assists with Raider Club activities.
