KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Northwest University Pavilion is filled with bouncing basketballs and the laughter and voices of  youngsters who are participating in the annual Eagle summer basketball camp hosted by NU head coach John Van Dyke, assistant DJ Vick and newest NU assistant, Erik Lindblad.

Campers are from Kirkland and many of the surrounding communities such as Bothell, Woodinville, Bellevue and Redmond. DJ Vick has been the camp's head coach and responsible for the daily schedule while Coach Lindblad and Eagle junior forward, Greg Peters, help with coaching duties.

"It's our way of connecting to the community and giving back a little in return for their support," commented Coach Van Dyke, the camp director. "It's important for us to contribute to the growth of the young people in our area and what better way to do it by hosting a summer basketball camp?"

The daily schedule consists of fundamental drills, individual and team competitions, guest speakers and a video session.

The camp concludes Friday, June 26.
