KLAMATH FALLS, Ore - Oregon Tech head men's basketball coach Dan Miles announced today that former Oregon Tech post player, Christian Cavanaugh (Mill Valley, Calif.) , has signed a professional contract to compete in the 1st Division level in Aalborg, Denmark.

The 6-10 Cavanaugh spent two seasons at Oregon Tech, helping lead the Owls to an NAIA Division II national title in 2008 and a "Sweet 16" appearance last season. Cavanaugh averaged 13.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in 66 games for the Owls. The 2009 Cascade Conference HM selection shot a career 61.8 % from the floor in his two year span with the Owls, including 67.6 % in 2009 to lead the nation in the category.

Cavanaugh will join the Aalborg team in August, and is the second Hustlin' Owl to sign a pro contract this year. Former Oregon Tech guard Josh Garrett will begin playing in Switzerland later next month.
