KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. --  Oregon Tech men's basketball coach Dan Miles announced this week that Josh Wetzler (Perth, Australia) has recently signed a professional basketball contract with Franken Hexer of the Pro B German professional league.

Franken Hexer, a German professional basketball team based in Nüremberg, is currently a member of the 2nd Bundesliga Pro B. Wetzler will play for head coach, and former Hustlin' Owl, Alex Krueger (1993-96).

Wetzler played four years for Oregon Tech helping the Owls to four-consecutive NAIA II national championship appearances from 2005-09, including three "Sweet 16" showings and an NAIA II National Championship in 2008. Wetzler finished second on the all-time career rebounding list at Oregon Tech with 1,026 and fourth on the NAIA II tournament rebounding list with an 11 game total of 105. The 6-8 post set the OIT school record for shooting percentage in 2008 at 72.9% and sits atop the career list with a .681 shooting percentage.

Wetzler is the third Hustlin' Owl to sign a professional contract since June, joining former teammates Josh Garrett (Switzerland) and Christian Cavanaugh (Denmark).
