65 CCC Teams Earn NAIA Scholar Honors
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Led by College of Idaho's nation-leading 19 selections, a total of 65 Cascade Collegiate Conference teams have been honored as NAIA Scholar Teams for 2008-09, the national office announced Friday.
For a team to be considered for the NAIA Scholar Team award, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average must include all varsity athletes certified as eligible.
Other CCC institutions with teams recognized by the NAIA included Concordia (9 teams), Northwest Christian (9), Oregon Tech (8), Corban (7), Eastern Oregon (6), Southern Oregon (5) and Northwest (2).
All 19 C of I teams achieved GPA's of 3.1 or higher.
