WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Northwest University and Linfield College (Ore.) battled to a 0-0 tie in a non-conference game this afternoon on the Whitman Athletic Field.

Northwest U. (0-0-2), playing it's second game in less than 24 hours, outshot Linfield, 19-15, but couldn't put a shot into the goal net. Alex Taylor led the Eagles with 4 shots. Goalkeeper Kyle Wall (Senior, Seattle, Wash.) scored the shutout and finished with 4 saves on the day. The Eagles played Whitman College to a 2-2 tie on Friday night.

Linfield College (0-1-1) was led by Carter Elhabassi's 5 shots. Goalies John Thompson and Wes Overland combined for the shutout and each had 3 saves for the game. The Wildcats had 6 corner kick attempts to Northwest's 4.

"We played on tired legs today after a tough, physical battle last night," stated Coach Gary McIntosh. "We played some different players today and I'm proud of their effort."

The Eagles will remain on the road as they travel to Olympia on September 12 to play the Evergreen State College in a 3 p.m. Cascade Conference game.
