Lady Owls Improve to 5-0 with 1-0 Win

KLAMATH FALLS, OR (September 5, 2009) – Oregon Tech’s Kaila Dillon (Jr. Canby, OR) scored her third goal of the year as she tapped in a beautiful cross from teammate Brooke Cole (So. Portland, OR) on an indirect kick just 4 minutes into the game. Oregon Tech’s defense then held Pacific University scoreless to win the game 1-0. The shutout was Oregon Tech’s third of the season. With the win, Oregon Tech improved to 5-0. Pacific University dropped to 0-2 with the loss.

For the game, Oregon Tech outshot Pacific 14 to 6 and doubled Pacific in shots on goal 8 to 4. Tech had 6 shots in the first half and 8 shots in the second half. Pacific had 4 shots in the first half and just 2 in the second half.

Each team had two corner kicks in the game.

Oregon Tech Goalie Megan Ross (Jr. Medford, OR) was credited with 4 saves in picking up the win. Pacific University Goalie Kelcy Gillen (Fr. Corvallis, OR) was credited with 7 saves in the loss.

Oregon Tech will hit the road to California next week with games at Simpson University in on September 8th and at Dominican University on September 10th. The Oregon Tech men will host Willamette University Sunday, September 6th at 1:00pm on Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park.
