Geoducks Snap Warner Pacific’s 10 Game Winning Streak
PORTLAND, Ore. – Anthony Gallagher hit a long three point field goal with 11 seconds to play to push Evergreen State to a 73-72 win over Warner Pacific tonight at a packed C.C. Perry Gym.
The loss for WP snaps a 10 game winning streak, and drops the Knights into a 4 way tie atop the CCC standings.
The host Knights had forged a four point advantage with 1:28 to play in the game, but did not score again. Evergreen got a bucket from Julio Feliciano to draw within a deuce, and capped the 5-0 game finishing run with Gallagher’s make from distance.
Down by one and owning the final possession the Knights did not get a clean look at the rim as the buzzer sounded, sending the Geoducks into celebration.
Jake Glisson topped the scoring column for Warner Pacific, hitting for 21 points. Kaylone Riley added 14 points, 10 rebounds, and patrolled the paint with 7 blocks.
Nathan Menefee paced the Geoducks with 25 points. Josh Troyer added 21 points, and Feliciano finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Warner Pacific drops to 15-4 overall and 7-2 in CCC play. Evergreen jumps to14-5 and 7-2.
