4 CCC Athletes Up for Oregon Sports Awards Small-College Honors
BEAVERTON — The Oregon Sports Awards, an annual show honoring the state's best performers and performances, will return to the Nike World Campus on Sunday, Jan. 31.
Four Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes are vying for the Ad Rutschman Small-College Athlete of the Year honors. On the women's side, CCC finalists are Concordia's Annie Hess (track and field) and Jessica Ramback (soccer), and Southern Oregon's Jacki Speer (basketball). On the men's side, Concordia's Greg Schultz (track and field) is among the finalists.
The two-hour event, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Tiger Woods Center, salutes the state's top athletes, coaches, teams and more for their efforts in 2009 or lifetime achievements.
Winners will be announced in 16 categories. A total of 80 finalists and winners were chosen by a statewide panel.
