PORTLAND, Ore. – Evergreen guard Nathan Menefee, a 5-11 senior from Tacoma, Wash., has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball for the third time this season.

No other player has received the weekly honor more than twice.

In two games last week, Menefee averaged 31.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals, and 3.5 assists as the Geoducks (14-5, 7-2 CCC) posted road victories over Concordia and No. 6-ranked Warner Pacific. The two wins helped move Evergreen into a four-way tie for first place in the CCC standings.

In the win over Concordia, Menefee scored 38 points - -his seventh game with at least 30 points this season – including a 17-of-18 effort at the free throw line. In the win over Warner Pacific, the CCC’s Preseason Player of the Year dropped in 25 points and registered five steals as the Geoducks eked out a 73-72 victory.
