Oregon Tech Bench Boosts Owls to Victory
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech reserves scored 26 points and grabbed 14 boards, while the team defense held Eastern Oregon to just 35.3% shooting to secure a 75-62 win in Cascade Conference play tonight at Danny Miles Court. Oregon Tech improves their overall mark to 12-10 and even in the conference standings at 5-5. EOU is now 13-7 on the season and 7-3 in CCC play. The win for the Owls halted a seven-game losing streak against EOU.
Brittany Cherry led Tech on the offensive end with a game-high 21 points to go with seven rebounds. Lisa Busch followed with 11 points, including 3-for-5 from long range, while Jazzy McDaniel finished with 10 points, six rebounds and four block shots. Aundrea Albright tied a game-high with seven rebounds to go with five points, three assists and two blocks. Kellie Morey-Lewis and Morgan Hofman combined for 15 points in the win.
EOU had three players in double figures, led by a team-high 15 points from Kelsea Hurliman. Kyle Miller and Tana Stickney both finished the game with 10 points and six rebounds apiece.
The Owls will play host to No. 20 College of Idaho tomorrow with the tip set for 5:30 pm. The Lady Owls can be heard in the Klamath Basin on KLAD 960 AM with Mike Garrard and Mike Hubbard calling the action
