CALDWELL, Idaho - Thanks to a pair of goals from Kelly Hardegree-Ullman and a trio of assists from Erika Mouritsen, The College of Idaho women's soccer team opened up defense of their 2009 Cascade Conference regular-season championship with a convincing 4-1 victory over Warner Pacific at Simplot Stadium.

The Lady Yotes (4-4, 1-0) opened the scoring quickly, as Chelsea Heffner took a cross from Mouritsen at the top of the 18 in the third minute and cracked home the tally.

Hardegree-Ullman made it 2-0 in the 38th minute, heading home a feed from Dehvan Morgan just outside the six-yard box. Sarah Hicks pushed the margin to 3-0, knocking home a pass from Mouritsen in the 57th minute, while Hardegree-Ullman made it 4-0 just three minutes later, finishing a nice slotted pass from Mouritsen.

The Coyotes held a commanding 24-4 edge in shots and a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.

The Knights (1-5-2, 0-1) adverted the shutout in the 76th minute, as Brittany Johnson scored an unassisted goal.

The Lady Yotes return to action tomorrow afternoon, hosting No. 1 ranked Concordia University at 3 p.m.
