KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Kennedy Roteman scored in the12th minute of overtime lifting Southern Oregon to a 4-3 win over Oregon Tech Saturday afternoon on Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park. SOU improves to 8-3-1, 2-1-0 in the CCC. Tech falls to 7-4-0, 2-1-0 in the CCC.

Southern Oregon’s Denise Powell scored just one minute and fifteen seconds into the match to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead. Just before half, Southern Oregon’s Sydney Paulsen put in a rebound after a Tech save into an empty net to give SOU a 2-0 lead in the 40th minute.

Oregon Tech would start the second half by scoring in the 60th, 63rd and 65th minutes to take a 3-2 lead. Tech made it 2-1 when Andrea Perez took a Meghan Drost pass and broke away from her defender to score in the upper left of the SOU goal. Brooke Cole continued the Hustlin’ Owls attack as she scored on Penalty Kick. Tech would score its 3rd goal in less than 5 minutes when Crystal Foster scored from 25 yards out off a cross from Hayley Smith to make it 3-2 Hooters.

Southern Oregon tied the game at 3 when Alyssa Bricker hit a long majestic shot from 30 yard out scoring in the upper left of Oregon Tech’s goal.

The teams would head to overtime tied at 3.

Southern Oregon’s Kennedy Roteman put an end to the game as she took a great cross from Danielle Stave right in front of the Tech goal and scored in the lower left of the goal.

Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon will hit the road playing at College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon next weekend October 15th and 16th.
