Concordia Blanks Oregon Tech 3-0
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Jordan Correa scored in the 25th minute on a rebound off of a Penalty Kick and the Cavaliers of Concordia University went on to knock off the Hustlin’ Owls of Oregon Tech 3-0 Saturday afternoon on Trevor Derrah Field at Steen Sports Park.
Concordia improves to 11-2 on the season and 8-1 in the CCC. Tech drops to 5-7-1 on the year and 3-5-1 in the CCC.
Correa took a Facundo Dipascuale missed Penalty Kick that hit the post and put it into an empty OIT goal to give Concordia a 1-0 lead.
Correa was at it again in the 43rd minute as he headed an Indirect Kick from Dipascuale across the Oregon Tech goal that was finished nicely by Jordan Green to give Concordia a 2-0 lead.
Jared Brace finished off the scoring in the 60th minute to make it 3-0 as he hit a rocket into the net from 30 yards out.
For the game Jimmy Hernandez led Tech offensively with 3 shots for the game 2 on frame. Concordia out-shot Tech 18-10 for the game with shots on goal also favoring the visitors from Portland 7-3.
Oregon Tech will now hit the road playing at Warner Pacific next Friday in Portland then next Saturday at College of Idaho in Caldwell.
