KLAMATH Falls, Ore. - Oregon Tech's defense held Northwest U. scoreless as they shut out the Eagles, 2-0 this afternoon in Cascade Conference play.

Kaila Dillon opened the OIT scoring with her goal in the 32nd minute of the first half as she took Crystal Foster's pass and sailed the ball over NU goalkeeper, Jessica Kane.

Oregon Tech (9-6, 4-3 CCC) got the clincher 56 minutes later as Andrea Perez scored her goal at the 87:41 mark as she knocked one in after the ball deflected off the cross bar. Teammate Hayley Smith got the assist on the score.

The Eagles (6-3-4, 3-2-2 CCC) had trouble getting their offense going as they managed only 2 shots on goal and 7 total shots for the game as OIT held the edge in shots, 20-7. Eagle Yanet Candido had 5 of the Eagles shots including one shot on goal. Andrea Perez led OIT with 8 shots, 4 shots on goal. Crystal Foster added 4 shots, 3 shots on goal for Tech. NU had 6 corner kicks to OIT's 3.

Northwest U. goalie, Jessica Kane made 9 saves on the day faciing 11 OIT shots on goal, while OIT goalkeeper, Anna Tozier earned the shutout with two saves for the Owls.

The Eagles will return home for their final two, regular season home games next weekend when they play host to Northwest Christian on Oct. 29 and Corban on Oct. 30. Both games are slated for 2 p.m. starts. OIT will conclude the regular season on the road next weekend as they travel to Portland to face Warner Pacific on Friday, Oct. 29 and top ranked Concordia on Saturday, Oct. 30.
