NU's Fischer Named NAIA National Soccer Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwest University’s Luke Fischer, a 6-0 junior forward from Kalispell, Mont., was named the NAIA national Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the NAIA office this afternoon. Fischer netted a hat trick and game-winner in the 4-3 double-overtime win over the Evergreen State College (Wash.) on Nov. 6.
Fischer finished the season tied for the Cascade Conference lead with nine goals in league action and led the league in total season goals with 12 goals. The Eagles ended the 2010 season with a 9-8-1 record and fourth place finish in the CCC.
On Monday, Fischer was named the Cascade Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
