Gaines Named Red Lion Player of the Week
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Warner Pacific College’s Sean Gaines, a 6-5 sophomore forward from Portland, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
In three games, Gaines averaged 17.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and shot 63 percent from the field as the Knights went 3-0. Gaines had a pair of double-doubles, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a win over Simpson (Calif.) University and going for 18 and 10 in a victory over Portland Bible College. Warner Pacific improved to 3-0.
